How do I remove an employee who is paid via multiple payroll subsidiaries (EINs) from just one of those subsidiaries?

Note: This FAQ is specific to clients who have early access to the new Termination Form. If you are not included in this group, please refrain from consulting this FAQ until the feature is released to all clients.

If you have an employee who is paid via multiple payroll subsidiaries (ie: EINs), but you only need to terminate them in one of those subsidiaries, you should not use the Termination Workflow, as this will remove them from all subsidiaries. Instead:

  1. On the General section of the employee's profile, add a departure date to the appropriate pay group.

  2. Terminate the employee’s benefits in the correct EIN in Namely Payroll.
